Fire and Emergency Response Training

This training workshop for leaders is customized through the use of site specific digital pictures and is excellent for the Building Fire Marshal, Fire Wardens, Operational Staff and other building Fire Emergency Organization Team leaders and members.

Who Should Attend?

This high impact multi-media presentation will be of interest to supervisors, building operational staff and leaders in the Fire Emergency Organization Team.

The Fire Code (the law) requires all persons with responsibility outlined in the fire safety plan to have fire safety and hazard awareness training in addition to training in their specific duties.

Course Description and Objectives

The training workshop consists of fire safety and hazard awareness training. The awareness training will provide participants with information about their surroundings; dangerous conditions that could cause a fire, or assist in its spread; how to react, protect, warn and assist others in the building when a fire or fire alarm condition occurs. The training covers in detail the attendee’s leadership role.

Upon completion of the training workshop participants will be aware of:

• The Hollywood portrayal of fire and the reality of fire
• Their responsibilities outlined in the fire safety plan and the fire emergency organization
• The benefits of planning, preparing and practicing for a fire incident
• Awareness of fire hazards that may stop a fire from starting
• Isolating and confining a fire to stop it from spreading
• The building life safety systems and have a better appreciation of their surroundings
• How and who to call for help
• Self protection and survival methods
• Methods of assisting the mobility impaired to safety
