Disaster Response Planning

Fire Plan Strategies Inc, will create a comprehensive site specific disaster plan for your organization, building or complex or update the existing plan.
Introduction
In a disaster, the local officials and relief workers cannot reach everyone immediately. Help may not arrive for hours or days. You need to be prepared ahead of time because you will not have time to shop or search for supplies when a disaster strikes.
Most disasters are natural disasters, the result of some force of nature such as tornadoes, hurricanes and floods. Some natural disasters can be predicted such as hurricanes and severe weather, while others like tornadoes and earthquakes happen with little or no warning.
Protecting businesses from natural disasters can involve a variety of actions from proper inspection and maintenance to minimum Code requirements to installing extra protective devices. Most of these actions especially those that affect the structure of your building or utility system, must be conducted by qualified maintenance staff or building contractors.
Some disasters are the cause of human actions, intentional or unintentional. A disaster plan will help with safety, security and comfort. Regardless of the type of disaster, there are things that can be done to prepare. Disasters are either an internal threat or an external threat.
Disaster Plan
The objective of a comprehensive disaster preparedness plan is to anticipate possible natural disasters that may affect your area and introduce measures to reduce the effects on occupants and property should a disaster occur. Disaster plans must be maintained current with contents up to date, accurate and appropriate.
The disaster preparedness plan contains preplanning including operational structure in an emergency; telephone contact sheet; disaster prevention; pre-disaster actions; damage reduction; staff or occupant immediate disaster emergency response; salvage and recovery to return to normal conditions as soon as possible after the disaster.
