FAQ

Is Site Specific Customized Fire Safety and Disaster Training Available?

Fire Plan Strategies Inc. will research, develop and deliver custom fire safety and disaster training customized to meet client needs.

Are the Fire Codes the same in all provinces in Canada?

No. Many provinces alter the National Fire Code to be specific to their own province. Differences in provincial fire codes can cause substantial differences in the requirements for a fire safety plan and related training.

Why should Fire Plan Strategies create our Fire Safety or Disaster Plan?

Our Fire Safety and Disaster Plans are created and written by an NFPA certified Fire Inspector.

The emergency strategies in our plans encourage a good working relationship and full cooperation with local fire departments or emergency agencies.

With our proactive approach, good working knowledge of the Fire & Building Codes, emergency response and an intimate knowledge of life safety systems we can assure our clients their plans are second to none.

Will Fire Plan Strategies come to our site to create a Fire Safety or Disaster Plan?

Yes. Typically, each client provides us with some preliminary building information, life safety systems reports and floor plans. We then make arrangements with the building owner to do a facility inspection and assessment, in which we take digital photographs for the safety plan, ensure correctness of the floor plans, identify the life safety systems, etc. After obtaining the information a draft plan is submitted to the building owner for review and comment.
